STUCK NO MORE...
With new covers, new titles and lots to read, it is getting harder and harder to tell if you have already read a book.

Here are some ways Page2 BOOKS
can help!

1.  Look for the ‘republished’ label on books.

2.  We will print you a list of author's books or particular series at no charge.

3.  "Been there, done that". If you find you have indeed read it before, just bring it back for a straight across exchange. We guarantee it!

We look forward to helping you!

Report from London...
by Gayle Collins

Gayle

Hello Everyone,
I traveled to London June 9-24, staying in a B&B in Hammersmith.  We had lots of rain the first few days I was there, and then, just like here, it cleared up and we had warm, summery weather.  Lots of wind, though.

I took my pedometer with me and logged 262,000 steps!  I knew I walked a lot on my trips, but this is the first time I have actually measured.  At 5,280 feet to a mile, that’s almost 50 miles.

Where do I walk?  I found the most incredible map of walks along the Thames.  Those were my favorite.  I would also take a bus to a remote site such as Syon House and walk back.  Also, I made up a lot of miles going up and down into the Tube tunnels.

Several of you asked me to look for specific books, so that took me to used bookshops on Cecil Rd, a little alley in London I hadn’t been down before.  Unfortunately, I didn’t find a single request.  The hunt was fun, though.

I took a train to Salisbury (about 1 ½ hours) and spent the day.  It was more fun than I could have imagined.  I took a tour to the top of Salisbury Cathedral and sat in the bell-tower as it chimed 4 o’clock.  I also saw one of the original copies of the Magna Carta and walked along the River Avon.  I didn’t get up to Old Sarum, which was the major focus of the book I was reading by Edward Rutherford, so I will save that for another trip.

It was a great time, as usual.  Pictures will be coming soon!

Thanks to Donna, Karen and Madison for continuing to give you such good service while I was gone!  They make my life so easy!
